Parkdale Liberty Economic Development Corporation
will be hosting a job fair on October 24th, and a holiday market on
December 16th. Events for 2007 will be firmed up in late January. We
are looking for enthusiastic people to volunteer in the areas of:

Postering
To ensure postering for the event is up three weeks prior to
the event.
To monitor postering periodically and re-poster when required.

Information Kiosk
To distribute and provide event information to the public which
may include vendor and exhibitor locations, workshop times,
and entertainer performances.
To answer any questions in a courteous manner.

Clean-up Crew
To ensure the event area is free of litter and recyclables.

Set-up and Take Down Crew
To assist in the set-up and take down of staging, information
kiosk, signage, and vendor and exhibitor tables.

Entertainer and Workshop Assistants/
Hospitality
Ensure refreshments are available.
Ensure Entertainers and Workshop Instructors requests are met.

Retail Staff
To sell merchandise and refreshments pertaining to the event.
To count and verify inventories at the beginning and end of your
shift.
To clean up the workstation at the end of your shift.

Vendor Relations
To check-in vendors as they arrive at the site.
Guide vendors to their table.

Stage Hands
To assist in the setting up and taking down of audio equipment.
To assist in the removal of audio equipment to accommodate different
performers.

Greeters
To approach the public presenting them with brochures and making
them aware of where our various events and activities are located.

Food Preparation
To assist in the preparation of food.

Video Attendants
To ensure the video is played and rewound after playing.
Greet people attending the video workshop and to ensure a quiet
room.

Registration
To register exhibitors and attendees to our various events

Floaters
A position that involves the ability to do any of the volunteer
positions when called upon.
Shifts will vary between 9am and 8pm. For all events,
actual shift start and finish times will be known closer to the event.
