The Parkdale/Liberty Economic Development Corporation is a non-profit community economic development organization that encourages economic and employment initiatives in the Parkdale and Liberty areas of Toronto. Working closely with community partners, we undertake programs and projects that contribute to the healthy and sustainable development of the neighbourhood as a whole, integrate all residents into the local economy, and encourage economic activities which serve community members and businesses.

The Parkdale Neighbourhood and Liberty District of tomorrow will be a vibrant, safe, caring and healthy community that respects, celebrates and enables its diverse populations; a community that is recognized as fostering creativity and collaboration, and social and economic well being.
STRATEGIC DIRECTIONS
Support and promote economic activities and businesses–including cooperative and non-profit enterprises–which serve community members, contribute to community life, provide meaningful work for local residents and reflect the values and cultures of the community.
Foster local employment by encouraging local employers to hire community residents, identifying and promoting existing skills of residents, communicating skills development opportunities to residents, and offering opportunities for residents to find out about and apply for jobs.
Develop and support communication tools that promote local initiatives and enhance community cohesion and identity.
Support activities that result in increased safety, a green and inviting streetscape, and public spaces that contribute to a sense of well being among community members.
Promote the community's artistic, cultural and creative assets and its heritage architecture, geographic location and economic opportunities.
