Once again this year Parkdale Liberty Economic Development Corporation (PLEDC) will be carrying out the Operation Storefront Holiday Edition project to assist local businesses in creating exciting, eye catching window displays. The goals are to improve the appearance of storefronts in Parkdale, further develop the local economy promote tourism and assist local businesses in attracting more customers and increase sales.

PLEDC has secured funding and partnered with Parkdale Collegiate Institute grade nine art students to achieve this aim. For the 2009 holiday season the goal is to revamp the storefronts of 12 businesses with a holiday themed window display in the Parkdale Village.

PLEDC works to promote economic initiatives in the Parkdale Liberty community and staff will mentor the Parkdale Collegiate Institute students involved in creating the OSF Holiday Edition window displays.
