QWAC proudly celebrates its 8^th year with the theme INTERSECTIONS, which will be represented by a wide variety of multi-disciplinary collaborations, engaging installations and innovative art mash-ups all weekend long.

EVENTS:

OPENING NIGHT: A gala opening party at the Gladstone Hotel Gladstone Ballroom featuring

Art Battle - thrilling, live competitive painting.

OUTDOOR ART SHOW & SALE: Located in beautiful Trinity Bellwoods Park, the show will feature over 250 unique and exciting jury-selected artists. A number of local food vendors will make this event irresistible.

PERFORMANCE ZONE: Talented local musicians will enchant QWAC attendees with live performances in Trinity Bellwoods Park. 

SYMPOSIUM SERIES: Artists, scholars and curators wax artistic on topics ranging from vintage car design to women's creative communities. Guest speakers will facilitate a Q & A session following each talk. We are thrilled to launch this diverse symposium series that focuses on intersecting art forms, practices and histories.

KIDS ZONE: Visit our Kids Zone located in Trinity Bellwoods Park.  Kids are invited to create their own masterpieces and learn a variety of cool techniques from local artists.

PARKDALE PROM: Dress up and re-live your proudest prom moments in the heart of Parkdale. Immortalize your evening and get photographed with your date, or record your prom memories at our story booth for podcast. Multiple classic themes will be represented and awards will be given out to Prom King and Queen, Most Congenial and more!

COMMUNITY PARTNER CRAWL: For a more intimate experience, visitors can explore over 50 galleries, art groups, studios, community organizations and businesses along Queen Street West.

PARKDALE NIGHTCRAWL: The renowned purveyors of rock'n roll in Parkdale will offer up their establishments on the Saturday night of QWAC and feature a smorgasbord of art, music and style.  Channel your inner rock god/dess while celebrating nocturnal culture on Queen Street West.

ART CRAWLS & WALKING TOURS:Five art-savvy and energetic organizations will offer a range of free gallery, studio and architecture walks (and bike rides!) for you to enjoy during QWAC. 2010 Tour Partners: Art Spin, Jane’s Walks, ROMwalks, Parkdale Residents’ Association and the WQWBIA First Thursdays series.
