Artist Statement: I have always found inspiration in the natural and wild places of Canada. Photography has become my vehicle for expressing my concern about humankind’s reckless treatment of the planet and for examining the connection between nature and humankind.
Nude human figures blend into landscapes both natural and manmade in my black and white works, often showing the tremendous impact that human beings have on mother earth. Why do we destroy that which sustains us?
Recent Exhibitions, Work AND Education: I have sold my work at the Junction Arts Festival, the Queen West Art Crawl at Trinity Bellwoods Park, as well as
private sales I hold at various locations. I tend to work mainly on my
craft in the good weather months as my studio is on my deck above my
apartment. My work is all wheel thrown.
Artist Statement: My pottery is totally unique as
each of my pieces is a one of a kind creation. I love bright colours
and this desire for colour is very visible in my work. I have been
working to create baking dishes, serving platters and casserole dishes
as well as a large variety of unique bowls. I have been working in clay since the age of 13.

Artist Statement: Adam’s work has slowly evolved from found object to a more focused form of flame-coloured copper. The beauty of this medium lies in its highly reflective properties. Depending on how the material is treated, an entire spectrum of colours may be revealed. Adam’s work projects a wonderful play between randomness and order, geometric in shape yet organic in pattern and colour. Adam continues to explore his style and abilities one piece at a time, continually striving to discover new ways to view and appreciate the medium.

Artist Statement: My work reflects my emotions and memories, and responds to the imbalance between my feelings and the outside world. I fuse classical and traditional techniques into my paintings, using exaggerated figures, which reflect the history of western oil painting, but also shows contemporary themes of eastern culture.
Recent Exhibitions, Work AND Education: my work partner debi and i do mostly custom orders for ceremonial objects such as rattles and altar bowls made from gourds, and prayer/talking sticks and wands; so we have had no exhibitions except for a piece i did for the "rouge valley conservation centre" called "uno" which incorporates material samples from all facets of life.
Artist Statement: The common theme in all our endevours is the use of found objects from the natural world. These pieces reflect our deep respect and honour for nature, and our connection to it.
Our main interests are rattles and bowls made from gourds, prayer/talking sticks and wands; many encrusted with semi-precious stones and crystals.
We create these pieces in the hopes of inspiring others, providing them with a lasting connection to Mother Earth.

Artist Statement: Most of my decisions are made in the moment. For me painting takes on a rhythm of choosing colour, mixing, applying, shaping, adding and subtracting. I’m after the jester. Much like dance. Striving to look fresh, balanced, and not overworked. Continuously searching for my own visual language to share and communicate with others with a sublime sensitivity.
Recent Exhibitions, Work AND Education: I have participated in a couple of group exhibitions in the last couple years the last being with The Octopus Project in Dec. 2009. I am Art Instructor, teaching figure drawing and painting and a graduate of the Fine aets from Georgian College, Barrie. I have spent most of the last year and a half rebuilding a new body of work exploring abstraction in oils and encaustics and feel excited to exhibit some of the new work.
Artist Statement: Art allows me to attack my canvas without any pre-conceived ideas. I intuitively create while paying close attention to my materials and the relationships that develop between them. These different materials determine the various textures on the canvas; as a result, my art is not purely aesthetic but also a tactile experience.

Artist Statement: I am an abstract artist who creates and paints on sculpted canvases.
The visualization and creation of the supporting stretchers is an integral part of my creative process.
I view the shape and texture of the canvas as a catalyst to unlimited creativity. By combining multiple components I’m able to explore yet another dimension. I am fascinated and intrigued by how far I can push canvas from its traditional square or rectangle which hangs on the wall.
At present I am exploring the application of digital images onto canvas and molding them on supporting stretchers to create three dimensional product.
