Recent Exhibitions, Work AND Education: My recent experience includes art projects in media ranging from photography to urban interventions. I developed my interdisciplinary approach during my undergraduate studies in Fine Art at Concordia University. Drawing is essential to my practice. I have created several drawing projects since completing my studies, such as the "Future of Mountain Style" ("Parks N' Rec" exhibition, Ideal Artspace,Calgary), "Colour her World" (presented as part of the "Unscheduled Activity" exhibition in the Other Gallery project space, The Banff Centre), and pen and ink sketches as part of a finalist proposal for the TTC Lansdowne Fence public art competition.
Artist Statement: A strong interest in the poetics of space, place, and the body underpins my visual art practice. I create work in diverse media ranging from urban interventions to photography. Drawing has always been the medium from which my other work grows, catching fleeting ideas and impressions as they arrive. Recently, I have begun a new project called "I'll look around", an evolving series of modest sized line drawings on paper. I think of the project as a visual diary. The eclectic, personal drawings are secret messages, like postcards to a long lost lover or letters written in the sand.
Recent Exhibitions, Work AND Education: EDUCATION: Advertising/Design/Photography
EXHIBITIONS: I have exhibited my work in many galleries and taken part in outdoor art shows since 2005-present, ranging from the U.S., Canada and Europe.
Artist Statement: For this show, I have fused my photography with the Encaustic medium, creating an interesting one of a kind piece of art.
The images will be transferred onto a block of wood, which the wood will resemble a Polaroid look and feel.

Artist Statement: The city is a complex environment of discordant sight and sound. Each element competes with its neighbour for our attention. Despite this clash, there is a subtle river of connection. This work is part of my quest to connect with beauty in the urban world.
I am driven to find harmony within my surroundings. Music is part of my process; the rhythms subconsciously influence my work. By blurring the scene, an underlying harmonic form and colour are revealed.

Artist Statement: The style of my artwork provides a sense of whimsy and comfort. There is also strong ethics behind each piece's creation, as all materials used are reclaimed. This includes salvaged wood scraps, costume jewelry, and clothing scraps. These items draw the viewer in through ornamentation and therefore blurs the line of visual arts to utilize the aesthetic of clothing and jewelry, all the while depicting a scene reminiscent of a fairy tale or nature and simultaneously reducing waste.

Artist Statement: My art approach derived from French Impressionists and “GROUP OF SEVEN”.
The favorite subject to paint is a landscape in abstract style. I am equally interested in an expression of the color balance, value as well as subjective aspect in my landscape paintings. Inspired by French – Canadian icon Jean-Paul Riopelle mosaics, I developed a unique painting technique that in the same colorful mosaic manner reflect the the myths of surrounding beauty. My favorite mediums are oil and acrylic.

Artist Statement: The long exposure times required by the pinhole camera contravenes “the decisive moment” notion of photography. My years working in film editing informs my pinhole photography. I’m interested in exploring how pinhole cameras create a cinematic crunch: 24 seconds on a frame instead of 24 frames per second. No decisive moments. Passages of time and the flow of movement doesn’t just freeze but condenses on a single frame.
Currently, I’m photographing highways and overpasses in exploration of how the pinhole process transforms high speed travel into calming streams of light and concrete overpasses into monolithic structures of silent beauty.
