Recent Exhibitions, Work AND Education: I attended OCAD from 98-2004 and showed at
Loop Galley as a part of the GO WEST grad show in 2004, I have done the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition twice and had a really good response. I recently did a show with Aleks Rdest at DeLeon White Gallery in Dec 2009 and I'm represented by the Leyton Gallery in St. John's. My history of success in Outdoor venues suggests that Queen West Art Crawl would be an excellent match for my style.

Artist Statement: My visions are reflections about human remnants of survival in a timeless and unfathomable world. Beyond is an exploration of context delving on our affinity with authentic real objects, figures and surrounding spaces. My paintings are pathways to exploring an awareness of what it means to "be".
Recent Exhibitions, Work AND Education: Trained in Fine Art and Photography at Centennial College, Toronto. In 1998 I started Faux F/X, a decorative painting company specializing in architectural finishes. I began training in 2005 with various accomplished artists, such as Tim Packard, Andrea Bird and Marrisa Sweet. By 2007, I was showing a body of work unique in style with emphasis on texture and composition.
In the last three years, I have exhibited at the Toronto Art Expo, One-of-a-Kind Show, Riverdale Art Walk and Artisans at the Distillery District.
My work is currently represented at Tangerine Gecko, Meta4 Gallery, Terre Neuve Gallery, Masterpiece Gallery and Antony's Prestige Art.
Artist Statement: I'm inspired by the interesting textural details found in our environment and in nature. From metals aged and washed over the the effects of time to the rough texture of bark and the complex branching of an old tree. By a process of sculpting, moulding and scrathing into different mediums, I incorprate such textural elements into my paintings.
Through experimentation with the different mediums, I allow myself to explore the unknown, unlocking a world of fantasy. the resulting images are often open to interpretation, engaging the viewer's own imagination and curiosity.

She has been producing wheel thrown and handmade pottery pieces for a period of 7 years. Her work is full of colour and the forms she creates reveal a sense of humour and "cheek" that is in keeping with Ms. Gwazela's response to life and art. At the moment, she has three series that she is producing, African styled houses; Posture-Pots that are animated vases and perfume bottles; and the Africa series that are texturally rich bowls and mugs. Artist Statement: Sandy ("Smacky") was born in Poland in 1981. At the age of 7, she and her older sister left Europe to join their mother in Toronto, Canada where she was raised. Her introduction to the arts came early and she grew into a mischievous sprite whilst surrounded by music, theatre, dance and art. Her passions are many, her methods are highly variable, and nothing feeds her soul as completely as her time with her art.
This site and all of Smacky's efforts are wholly dedicated to those who have a love-kissed twinkle in their eyes and an adventure-fuelled fire in their hearts.
