Artist Statement: Formally trained as a landscape architect, my explorations in photography are an attempt to expose the beauty in the ordinary, in objects that are so often overlooked in our surrounding landscapes. Inspired by the writings of Charles Baudelaire on the flâneur, Guy Debord, Andre Breton and the Situationists International, and Richard Long’s walking journeys, I wander the city and landscapes that I inhabit, using photography as a means of exploration and discovery. Through my abstracted images, I hope to unveil the hidden complexities and infinite beauty that can be found within seemingly mundane objects, exposing the vibrant colours, intricate patterns and textures that surround us in the often overlooked landscapes of the everyday.

I have never taken any sewing courses, but I have been sewing since I can remember.
Artist Statement: I am a very creative person. I see pattern and texture everywhere I look, and love all things with a sense of whimsy.
My current line of work includes my owl pillows, which come in 3 sizes, and my alphabet pillows, which I make from recycled suit jackets. With the left over materials I make tiny birds and fabric art. In the past year I have been experimenting with my fabric art and have started making hand-stitched floral pieces that I am quite proud of.
Recent Exhibitions, Work AND Education: I have Participated in the Art Crawl last year (2009) in a parking lot by the Dollorama on Queen. I am a Graphic Design Graduate from George Brown College and have been working developing Graphics, Clothing and Toys for the past 4 years, I have worked for footwear, agricultural, food science and sporting companies working on advertising and marketing plans since i graduated 3 years ago.
Artist Statement: I have participated in The art Crawl last year where i sold a variety of graphics silk screened on t-shirts and Hoodies. This year i have developed a new line of Toys, clothing and childrens books that reflect a positive and fun theme. Screaming Clowd is clothing for the urban adolescent. Having hand and machine sewing of the clouds into the product it gives the clothing a vintage look while the silkscreening provides a fresh appreal and retains a fun cool feel.

Artist Statement: My recent work examines how Toronto's architectural structures tear into and create
new dimensions of space in relation to the sky. Through the development of architecture our
understanding of distance and space has shifted. Instead of our gaze resting on a vast, open horizon line our eyes have been transfixed by layers of vertical planes . Spaces move closer together, hungry to swallow the sky and move beyond it. Together, both in city life and in my paintings, sky and architecture fold and open, breathe and collapse, and control and release the space they encounter.
